Young Inter Milan midfielder Nikola Iliev has officially sealed a loan transfer to CSKA 1948 Sofia.

The 19-year-old is a young prospect who joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2020 after starting his career in Botev. He has been a part of the club’s Primavera squad for the last three seasons.

The young Bulgarian is primarily an attacking midfielder. But he can also play on the wings or in a deeper role in the middle of the park.

Despite his tender age, Iliev has already made his senior international debut in September 2022. Since then, he earned eight caps with Bulgaria.

“FC Internazionale Milano can confirm that Nikola Iliev CSKA 1948 Sofia on loan. The Bulgarian club will have the option to make the deal permanent,” reads the official statement.

Therefore the Bulgarian club will have the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

So we shall see whether Iliev will remain at the Bulgarian capital beyond the next campaign or if he’ll return to Appiano Gentile.
