Bologna technical director Giovanni Sartori insists that Marko Arnautovic isn’t for sale amidst Inter Milan transfer links.

Over the last 24 hours or so, the 34-year-old Austrian emerged as a prime candidate to join the Nerazzurri.

Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working tirelessly to secure the services of a new striker.

The Beneamata are currently short of options upfront despite the arrival of Marcus Thuram.

The squad lacks a natural Number 9 following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko.

Therefore, Inter consider the Bologna centre-forward as someone who fits the bill, along with Porto striker Mehdi Taremi.

Nevertheless, the Emilians are determined to keep Arnautovic within their walls. As we reported earlier today, the Rossoblu have rejected an opening bid from the Nerazzurri.

Bologna Technical Director Giovanni Sartori Insists That Inter Milan Transfer Target Marko Arnautovic Isn’t On The Market

Inter were hoping to seal the deal by offering 8 million euros plus the services of Stefano Sensi. However, their attempts fell off the mark.

This evening, Bologna’s technical director Giovanni Sartori reiterated the club’s decision, insisting that Arnautovic is not available on the market.

“We’re working day and night to put a strong team at Thiago Motta’s disposal as soon as possible. We hope to pick up from where he left last season,” said the 66-year-old in an interview with Sport Mediaset via FcInterNews.

“I have to repeat Marco Di Vaio’s words from last year. Arnautovic is not on the transfer market.

“Marko is very important for us. Let’s hope that he manages to avoid injuries this season so he can enjoy a great campaign.

“I repeat: Arnautovic is not for sale.” confirms the former Atalanta director.
