The agents of Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic are open to meeting with Inter Milan to get his transfer back on track.
This according to Italian news outlet MondoUdinese, who report that despite yesterday’s unexpected setback, the Serb’s representatives are still willing to work to make the deal happen, and that it should be clear in the next day or two whether the agreement will be found.
Most expected that Samardzic would already have been an Inter player by now.
The German-born Serbian international underwent his medicals with the Nerazzurri a couple days ago. And yesterday, there was a meeting with the player’s entourage to try and work out the final details so that Samardzic could put pen to paper.
With Samardzic’s father in tow, the entourage brought new financial requests to the table.
Despite the fact that Inter and Samardzic had already agreed terms on a five-year deal via the mediation of prominent football agent Rafaela Pimenta, the player’s entourage asked for different terms at the elventh hour.
Inter had absolutely no intention of accepting these terms. Therefore, for the moment, the deal cannot move forward.
Agents Of Lazar Samardzic Open To Returning To Talks With Inter Milan
According to MondoUdinese, however, Samardzic’s representatives do not want the transfer to collapse.
Despite how things went yesterday, the 21-year-old is still very keen on making the switch.
It is not yet clear whether that means that the player’s representatives will be willing to revert to the previously-agreed terms.
All reports suggest that Inter will refuse any changes to the agreement. They will only sign Samardzic if it is at the terms that they already agreed.
However, the player’s entourage are still open to trying to work things out in talks. They will meet with Inter again very soon, potentially in the next few hours.
