Inter Milan will hold another meeting with the agents of Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic soon to try and get his transfer back on track.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Most expected that Samardzic would already have been an Inter player by now.

The German-born Serbian international underwent his medicals with the Nerazzurri a couple days ago. And yesterday, there was a meeting with the player’s entourage to try and work out the final details so that Samardzic could put pen to paper.

However, as Sky confirms, the player’s entourage instead came to the table with new financial demands.

The broadcaster suggests that with Samardzic’s dad in tow, the player’s representatives asked for more in agent bonuses as well as a higher salary than had previously been agreed.

This derailed the talks somewhat. Inter showed absolutely no willingness to change their offer to Samardzic.

However, Sky reports, that does not mean that the deal is off.

Inter are still very much hoping to sign Samardzic, even if not at any new conditions. And the player is still keen to make the switch.

Inter Milan To Hold New Talks With Lazar Samardzic Entourage Soon

According to Sky, it shouldn’t be long at all before Inter and Samardzic’s representatives are back in talk.

The broadcaster anticipates that the next meeting could arrive as soon as within the next few hours.

Nobody involved in the situation wants to wait around.

Inter have reportedly given Samardzic something of an ultimatum – they want to sort the situation out this weekend.

Therefore, Sky reports, Inter expect that the next meeting will likely be decisive. They will return to the table with the Serb’s reputation and see if their stance has changed.

If the meeting results in an agreement, Samardzic will sign, and if it doesn’t then that will be the end of that.
