Bologna coach Thiago Motta wants to freeze Inter Milan target Marko Arnautovic out of the team.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Rossoblu coach isn’t keen to play the 34-year-old any longer, whilst his club still want to keep hold of the player unless a sufficient offer arrives.

Arnautovic’s future in Bologna is currently under something of a cloud.

Inter have shown interest in the Austrian’s signature in the past few days. He is among their targets as they cast their net for a striker signing before the transfer window closes.

Meanwhile, Roma have also been linked in the past couple weeks.

According to SportItalia, Motta wants to move on from Arnautovic due to all the transfer interest and the player’s evident desire to leave.

Bologna Coach Motta Ready To Freeze Arnautovic Out – Club Will Only Sell At Right Price

According to SportItalia, however, Bologna aren’t in any rush to offload Arnautovic.

The Emilians could sell their striker. However, they will not do so at a discount fee.

This puts Motta and his club directors at a bit of an impasse – at least for the time being.

For his part, the coach would like to resolve Arnautovic’s as quickly and smoothly as possible.

However, Bologna are only ready to sell the striker if they can monetize the deal to the greatest extent possible.

So far, the Rossoblu have turned down all offers for Arnautovic. This has included rejecting initial bids from Inter.

The Emilian club’s stance hasn’t shifted in the face of transfer interest or pressure from their coach.

However, things could change in the final weeks of the transfer window should the situation with Motta continue to develop.

At the moment, the coach has made up his mind.

With Arnautovic also starting to push for an exit, Bologna are starting to have a real decision to make.
