Inter Milan are closing in on an agreement to sign former West Ham United and Stoke City striker Marko Arnautovic from Bologna.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the two clubs should agree a deal for the 34-year-old for a fee of around €10 million.

Inter aren’t going to wait around much longer to sign Arnautovic.

The Nerazzurri have now gone a month since their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku fell through, without signing a centre-forward. They have looked at plenty of possibilities, but not sealed any deals.

Now, however, it looks as though Inter have finally made their decision.

According to Sky, a deal for Arnautovic shouldn’t be too far away.

The 34-year-old ticks a number of boxes as far as the kind of profile who Inter want for the role. He has two seasons of proven Serie A experience in recent years.

Moreover, Arnautovic would be the kind of physical, out-and-out Number Nine who Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi wants to add to the squad.
