Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic is pushing to make the move to Inter Milan despite the ongoing drama holding up the deal.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the German-born Serbian international has given personal assurances that he wants to make the switch.

The once seemingly inevitable transfer of Samardzic to Inter has become a real soap opera in the past few days.

Central to the flux of the situation has been the unexpected demands that the Serb’s entourage added in negotiations at the eleventh hour.

Inter have made their stance abundantly clear to Samardzic and his representatives.

They will sign him at exactly the terms they agreed via the mediation of agent Rafaela Pimenta, and not accept any changes in the conditions.

So now everything looks to be up to the player – Samardzic can sign the deal that Inter have on the table. But he cannot sign if his entourage continue to hold out for new financial demands.

Lazar Samardzic Still Pushing For Inter Milan Transfer

According to FCIN1908, Samardzic is currently still in Milano.

Despite rumours that either Inter or the player’s representatives will have told him that he should return to Udine amid the impasse in negotiations, the former RB Leipzig midfielder wants to stay and sort out his transfer.

Moreover, FCIN1908 report, Samardzic has privately assured that he is still very keen on the transfer.

The player himself is as surprised as anyone at the sudden impasse in talks.

Therefore, Samardzic is waiting and hoping that the deal can go through in the next day or two.

FCIN1908 report that whilst the midfielder hasn’t gone on the record with any official interview, behind the scenes he’s speaking about wanting to join Inter.

Now all that remains to see is whether the player’s representatives can hash things out with the Nerazzurri.
