La Liga side Almeria are keen to sign Inter Milan midfielder Lucien Agoume this summer.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the Spanish team could sign Agoume on loan or even on a permanent transfer, and that the Nerazzurri value him at around at around €5-6 million.

21-year-old France youth team international Agoume joined Inter from Sochaux in the summer of 2019.

The Frenchman has not really made his mark in a Nerazzurri shirt, however.

During the 2020-21 season, Agoume was out on loan with Spezia. This was his first experience playing regularly in Serie A.

However, the youngster received just twelve appearances during the season for the Ligurians. Then-Spezia coach Vincenzo Italiano preferred other, more experienced options in the centre of the pitch.

Therefore, Agoume decided that he preferred not to make another loan move to a team in Serie A for the following season.

Almeria Keen On Signing Young Inter Milan Midfielder Lucien Agoume

During the 2021-22 season, Agoume went out on loan back to his native France.

The Inter midfielder spent that campaign on loan with Brest in Ligue 1.

This was a considerably more positive experience for Agoume. Unlike during his time at Spezia, the midfielder played a key role as a regular starter that team.

Agoume helped keep Brest in the French top flight during his season on loan with the club.

Last time around, it was Troyes who won the race to sign Agoume on loan. They brought the Nerazzurri starlet back to Ligue 1.

However, Agoume was unfortunate to suffer a major injury early on in the campaign that ruled him out of action for several months.

However, over the second half of the campaign Agoume was able to play more regularly. He racked up fifteen appearances in total.

Now, Almeria are keen on bringing Agoume to La Liga.

TMW report that the Spanish team would even be interested in signing the 21-year-old on a permanent deal. Inter would want at least €5-6 million to let him leave for good.

Moreover, TMW anticipate, Inter could look to have a buyback option in a deal, so as to not lose control of Agoume’s future for good.
