The Inter Milan squad has been in communication with Alexis Sanchez regarding a possible surprise return for the Chilean.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Yesterday, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta even admitted that Sanchez has contacted the club to indicate his desire to return.

The Chilean left the Nerazzurri last summer. He and the club agreed on a termination of his contract by mutual consent.

However, perhaps there is a feeling of “unfinished business” between Sanchez and Inter at this point.

That would certainly seem to be the case for the player.

All reports suggest that the 34-year-old former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona man is very eager to return.

And according to the Corriere, he has already been messaging his former Nerazzurri teammates.

Inter Milan Squad Receive Messages From Alexis Sanchez About Wanting Return

According to the Corriere, Sanchez has already been in contact with many of his former Inter teammates.

The veteran Chilean international has been out of contract since the end of June.

Last season, Sanchez played for Marseille. He joined the Ligue 1 side after agreeing a termination of his contract with Inter from the 2021-22 season by mutual consent.

And the ex-Gunners forward enjoyed a fruitful campaign in the southeast of France.

Sanchez bagged eighteen goals and three assists for Marseille across the 2022-23 season.

But Sanchez and Marseille parted ways after just one season.

And by all accounts, Sanchez has only one priority for next season. He wants Inter and has currently turned down all other offers in the hopes that he can wait for the Nerazzurri.

According to the Corriere, the Chilean has made no secret of his intentions behind the scenes.

The newspaper reports that quite a few current Inter players have received messages from their old teammates. They are all talking openly and in a friendly manner about the possibility that he could be back, just twelve months after he left.
