Alexis Sanchez is expecting a one-year contract worth €3 million net in order to return to Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who reveal the 34-year-old’s contract demands in order to return to the Nerazzurri on a free transfer to replace Joaquin Correa.

Sanchez could soon be back at Inter.

Yesterday, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta even admitted that Sanchez has contacted the club to indicate his desire to return.

The Chilean left the Nerazzurri last summer. He and the club agreed on a termination of his contract by mutual consent.

However, perhaps there is a feeling of “unfinished business” between Sanchez and Inter at this point.

That would certainly seem to be the case for the player.

All reports suggest that the 34-year-old former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona man is very eager to return.

Alexis Sanchez Ready To Sign One-Year Contract With Inter Milan

When Sanchez departed from Inter twelve months ago, it was via a contract termination by mutual consent.

Inter even negotiated a severance payment with the Chilean to get him out the door.

This was not because of any issues with the player on the pitch. Rather, Sanchez was one of the Nerazzurri’s highest earners at that time, something that was hardly commensurate to his status in the team.

Therefore, if Sanchez were to return, it would have to be on lower wages that he had been earning in the 2021-22 campaign.

And according to Mediaset, the Chilean would be willing to sign a deal worth €3 million net for a season.

Moreover, Sanchez is ready to ask for a short-term deal of just a season. This is perhaps little surprise given the player’s age.

In any event, Mediaset report that Sanchez’s arrival would be contingent on Joaquin Correa leaving.

The broadcaster report that Torino and Real Betis have an interest in the Argentine.
