Sevilla are interested in a late move for out-of-favour Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa before the summer transfer window closes.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Correa is a player whose future at Inter has looked very much up in the air this summer.

The Nerazzurri would, by all accounts, welcome the chance to offload the 29-year-old. He has fallen out of favour after two seasons at the club.

But the big question has always been whether or not any other clubs would be interested in signing Correa.

The Argentine’s recent injury history and its impact on his form have seemingly put clubs off making serious offers up to this point.

But with a little over a week to go in the summer transfer window, the Nerazzurri are still aiming to get Correa out the door. And they have reportedly shifted their stance to be open to a possible loan move away.

Alexis Sanchez is the player who Inter could bring back to replace Correa in the squad.

Sevilla Interested In Inter Forward Joaquin Correa

In the last few days, a number of clubs have started to show interest in Correa’s situation.

Among these has been La Liga side Real Betis.

The Andalusians are the city rivals of Correa’s former team Sevilla.

The Argentine spent two seasons with the Rojiblancos between 2016 and 2018 before joining Lazio in Serie A.

However, according to the Gazzetta, now Sevilla themselves would also be interested in bringing Correa back.

With Inter increasingly open to negotiating favourable conditions as they aim to offload Correa, Sevilla sense an opportunity.

The Gazzetta report that last season’s Europa League winners have made their interest in bringing the Argentine back known.

For his part, Correa is still considering his options. The 29-year-old wants to see which clubs want to sign him before he makes a decision.
