Inter Milan will get a financial boost worth €4.7 million on their balance sheet for the 2023-24 fiscal year from the sale of Valentino Lazaro to Torino.

This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza, who report on the financial details of the transfer.

Inter have completed the sale of Austrian international wingback Lazaro to Torino.

The Granata will pay the Nerazzurri a fee of €4 million for the 27-year-old.

As Calcio e Finanza note, the value of Lazaro in Inter’s balance sheet is amortized to around €4.2 million for the 2023-24 fiscal year.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri will save that much. Additionally, because Lazaro has stayed at Inter for the months of July and August, that amount goes down to €3.5 million in financial terms.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri will actually earn a €0.5 million capital gain from the transfer.

As such, the total boost in Inter’s balance sheet will be for €4.7 million, Calcio e Finanza report.

Inter Milan Sell Valentino Lazaro To Torino

Lazaro also spent last season on loan with Torino.

This was hardly the first time that the 27-year-old Austrian international has been out on loan since joining Inter from Hertha in the summer of 2019.

Lazaro has gone out on loan to Newcastle United, Borussia Monchegnladbach, and Benfica.

None of those have decided to sign the Austrian on a permanent basis. And neither, it seems, had Torino.

The Granata had the option to do so. Reportedly, they had a purchase option on Lazaro worth around €7 million.

And initially, Torino showed an interest in exercising that clause. Lazaro enjoyed a fairly positive season, as he fit in well to Granata coach Ivan Juric’s customary 3-5-2 system, even if a knee injury ruled him out for a few months in mid-season.

However, Torino also asked Inter for a discount to sign Lazaro. And in the end, they decided against activating the purchase option.
