This summer’s biggest soap opera takes another twist as Romelu Lukaku reportedly ditches Juventus in favor of Roma.

At the start of the summer, fans and observers alike had expected the Belgian to remain at Inter Milan.

The 30-year-old joined the Nerazzurri on loan following a miserable campaign at Chelsea. Although his stint expired, the two clubs were working on a new deal.

However, it later emerged that the bomber and his lawyer had been simultaneously talking to Juventus over a possible transfer.

So after refusing to answer Inter’s calls, the Nerazzurri decided to abandon the player’s pursuit.

While this was supposed to open the door for a Juventus transfer, the Bianconeri couldn’t find an agreement with Chelsea. The Italians insisted on inserting Dusan Vlahovic in an exchange deal between the two strikers.

But according to The Telegraph journalist Matt Law, Lukaku is no longer willing to wait for Juventus. He has now set his sights on a transfer to Roma.

The Giallorossi are looking to bolster Jose Mourinho’s ranks with a new striker this summer, especially with Tammy Abraham out for several months.

But while Chelsea were initially insisting on a permanent transfer, they’re now willing to accept another loan move.

On another note, a move to the Saudi Pro League remains on the table, even though the former Man Utd star isn’t adamant about it.

Lukaku has already refused a lucrative sum to join Al-Hilal earlier in the summer, much to Chelsea’s dismay.

The source claims that any new proposals from Saudi Arabia will be lower than the initial bid.
