Alexis Sanchez will earn around €2.8 million net over the course of the next season on a one-year contract with Inter Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who also reveal the Chilean’s shirt number for next season.

Now it’s official – Alexis Sanchez will once again be an Inter player this season.

The Chilean has come back on a free transfer just twelve months after leaving and joining Marseille.

The move is a surprising one precisely because Inter had offloaded Sanchez on a free transfer last summer. They even agreed on severance payment in order to terminate the former Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Udinese forward’s contract by mutual consent.

However, as the Corriere notes, the conditions on which Sanchez returns are very different than those when he left.

When Sanchez last played for Inter, he was one of the club’s highest earners. This was hardly reflective of the fact that the Chilean was not a regular starter in Simone Inzaghi’s team.

However, now Sanchez has agreed to different terms.

The 34-ywear-old has signed a short-term one-year contract which will see him earn €2.8 million net – less than half what he had taken in during the 2021-22 season.

Alexis Sanchez To Wear Number 70 At Inter Milan This Season

The Corriere also reveal what shirt number Sanchez will wear for this season.

The newspaper reports that the veteran forward has chosen number 70.

Throughout his career, Sanchez has typically worn the shirt number seven. This was the case in his first stint at Inter.

Sanchez has also worn the number seven shirt for all of Udinese, Arsenal, Man United, and Marseille.

On the other hand, the Chilean wore number nine in his three seasons at Barcelona. This was because David Villa and then Pedro took the seven shirt.

This season at Inter, Juan Cuadrado has already claimed the number seven shirt, however.

Therefore, Sanchez will wear the 70 shirt for the campaign.
