Bayern Munich are working on resolving the issues that have held up the transfer of defender Benjamin Pavard to Inter Milan.

This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

The transfer saga between Inter, Bayern, and Pavard continues with just a few more days left in the transfer window.

Time is of the essence with the transfer deadline only four days away.

If Bayern don’t give the green light on the deal soon, Inter could miss out on their top target to replace Milan Skriniar. THen they would have to consider a move for an alternative with the closing of the transfer window on the horizob.

But according to the Gazzetta, Bayern are doing everything they can to unlock the deal.

Bayern Munich Working To Resolve Issues In Benjamin Pavard Move To Inter Milan

According to the Gazzetta, Pavard has already been asking Bayern for a move away since last summer.

The Frenchman has some dissatisfaction with the tactical role that he has at the Allianz Arena.

Last summer, Bayern did not sell Pavard, however. The 27-year-old remained with the German champions for the entire season.

However, Pavard’s desire to leave has not gone away. Far from it, he has been pushing for an exit this summer.

And a move to the Nerazzurri would suit the Frenchman very well – Pavard would fit in to Simone Inzaghi’s tactical setup very well.

Therefore, with Pavard’s contract also expiring at the end of next June, Bayern do want to offload him. They have already agreed the fee with Inter, and everything looks ready to go ahead.

There are just a couple outstanding issues that need to be wrapped up.

As the Gazzetta note, Bayern’s search for a replacement is the key domino to fall before they will sell Pavard to Inter.

The newspaper note that Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah, West Ham United’s Thilo Kehrer, and Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida are on their list.

The Bavarians don’t necessarily want to reinvest all of the transfer fee for Pavard in a like-for-like replacement. They are still mulling over their strategy.

But according to the Gazzetta, Bayern are doing what they can to sort the issues out in time to sell Pavard to Inter.
