Simone Inzaghi will name the same starting eleven against Cagliari this evening as he did in the Inter Milan season opener against Monza.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.

Inter coach Inzaghi will have a few key decisions to make as far as his lineup decisions for this evening’s Serie A match.

However, according to Mediaset, the coach has no doubts. He has made up his mind on the team that will line up at the Sardegna Arena some time ago.

In defense, Inzaghi won’t have too many options.

Francesco Acerbi is injured, so Stefan de Vrij is the only real candidate to start in the centre of Inter’s back three. And on either side of him Alessandro Bastoni and Matteo Darmian will start.

Inter have yet to sign a Milan Skriniar replacement – be it Benjamin Pavard or someone else.

And Darmian is fully fit despite having suffered a minor ankle problem against Monza. So the 33-year-old former Manchester United and Torino defender will start.

Yann Bisseck will start the match on the bench.

Inzaghi To Start Thuram & Lautaro In Attack For Inter Milan Vs Cagliari

In midfield, Davide Frattesi will once again start on the bench, Mediaset anticipates.

The trio of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu will play from the first minute against Cagliari. That is the same trio that was first-choice for long stretches last season.

Meanwhile, in attack, captain Lautaro Martinez will hardly drop to the bench after his brace against Monza.

Therefore, the only question is who will start alongside the captain.

And according to Mediaset, Inzaghi already knows who he’s going with it.

Marko Arnautovic will once again start on the bench despite his assist from the bench against Brianzoli.

Summer signing Thuram will once again lead the line alongside Martinez against the Rossoblu.
