Inter Milan could still make one more signing following the arrival of Benjamin Pavard.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that any further business the Nerazzurri do later in the window would be contingent upon the future of midfielder Stefano Sensi.

Once Pavard signs his Inter contract, it will take the Nerazzurri’s tally to eleven signings this summer.

There have been arrivals in literally every area of the pitch.

The Nerazzurri have also lost several players – twelve in total. And they have replaced every one, with the returning Sensi filling a Roberto Gagliardini-shaped hole in midfield rather than a new player.

Inter have switched out all three goalkeepers from last season. And in attack, only Lautaro Martinez remains from last campaign – three new arrivals replace three forwards to head for the exit door.

In defense, in midfield, and on the flanks, Inter have made changes.

Inter Milan Could Still Sign One More Player Even After Benjamin Pavard

It would be natural to expect that Pavard will be the final signing of Inter’s summer transfer window.

The Frenchman would undeniably be one of the most high-profile arrivals – along with his countryman Marcus Thuram, and Davide Frattesi.

Inter have solved arguably the most imminent problem of the window – replacing Milan Skriniar – right in the final days.

It’s a seemingly positive note on which to end a transfer window that has been full of failed pursuits and soap operas.

But according to the Gazzetta, one more signing can’t entirely be ruled out.

This would come in midfield. Right now, Sensi is the player who is holding down the “sixth” spot in Inter’s depth chart centrally.

However, the Gazzetta suggests, Inter could still try to change things up.

Sensi’s injury history means that there are still some lingering doubts.

Therefore, if there is to be another signing in the dying days of the window, it would be to replace the 28-year-old.
