Referee Matteo Marchetti has been appointed to be in charge of Sunday evening’s Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Fiorentina.

The Lega Serie A have confirmed a complete list of the officials on duty for Sunday’s match, via FCInterNews.

This weekend, Inter play their third match of the Serie A season.

The Nerazzurri will host Fiorentina at the San Siro at 18.30 CET on Sunday.

Heading into Sunday’s match, Inter have a perfect record in Serie A from their first two matches of the season. The Nerazzurri beat Monza and Cagliari by 2-0 scorelines.

Meanwhile, La Viola thrashed Genoa in their season opener. However, last weekend Vincenzo Italiano’s faced frustration as Lecce pulled back a 2-0 Fiorentina lead to finish the match 2-2.

The Nerazzurri are making no effort to hide the fact that the Serie A title is their goal.

Therefore, they will certainly want to keep the momentum going as far as they possibly can after a bright start.

Last season, Inter beat Fiorentina 4-3 in a thriller in Tuscany, before losing the reverse leg at the San Siro. Then, in the Coppa Italia final, Inter won the competition by beating La Viola 2-0.

There is little doubt that this will be a tough test for Inter’s title credentials, and for Fiorentina’s ambitious to secure a spot in Europe next season.
