Inter Milan may bolster the midfield department by signing both Maxime Lopez and Tanguy Ndombele while offloading Kristjan Asllani.

It has already been an extremely busy summer for the Nerazzurri who parted ways with a host of top players and replaced them with a new flock.

But despite completing the signing of Benjamin Pavard on Wednesday, the club could still pull off a couple of additional operations in the final hours of the transfer session.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inter could sign both Lopez and Ndombele before the market closes its doors.

The Beneamata would be happy to complete both operations as long as long as they don’t cost their coffers too much.

For Lopez, Inter would would be willing to pull off an exchange of loans that sends Asllani to Sassuolo.

With the 25-year-old Frenchman joining Simone Inzaghi’s ranks, the young Albanian won’t have a place in the squad.

Thus, sending the former Empoli man towards the Mapei Stadium would be a decent solution. It would allow him to collect valuable playing time and reignite his career.

Inter Milan Could Be Looking To Poach Maxime Lopez And Tanguy Ndombele While Offloand Kristjan Asllani

But even with the arrival of Lopez, Inter might still need some physical presence in the middle of the park. Hence, the club’s directors are currently monitoring Spurs outcast Ndombele.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan with Napoli. Thus, he became familiar with Italian football.

The former Lyon man is looking to put his career back on track. But at the moment, he remains out of the technical project at Tottenham.

Finally, the source notes that the arrival of both Frenchmen could pose a dilemma for Inzaghi. The Italian coach can only register 23 players in the Champions League squad this season.

So with Lopez and Ndombele both at the club, the manager would have to drop a senior player from the UCL squad.
