Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani has reportedly decided for next season, rebuffing interest from Fiorentina and Sassuolo.

The Nerazzurri are currently on the verge of finalizing the transfer of Davy Klaassen from Ajax. The 30-year-old will add himself to Simone Inzaghi’s midfield ranks.

As FcInterNews explains, the Dutchman’s arrival could, in theory, decrease Asllani’s playing time even further.

The 21-year-old joined Inter last summer but struggled for consistent minutes during his maiden campaign at the club.

As we reported earlier in the day, the young midfielder is reflecting on a possible deadline-day move, with several Serie A clubs interested in his services.

Nevertheless, the source reveals that Asllani has now made up his mind. He decided to reject the approaches of Fiorentina and Sassuolo.

The former Empoli man wants to remain at Appiano Gentile and play his chances at Inzaghi’s court.

On the other hand, Fiorentina and Sassuolo could be involved in some deadline-day business. As the source explains, the Viola would opt to sign Neroverdi midfielder Maxime Lopez if Sofyan Amrabat ends up leaving the Tuscan city today.

For his part, Asllani will be looking to crave himself a place at Inter Milan amidst an ever-growing competition for places.

Nevertheless, the Albanian might be the only deep-lying playmaker who can genuinely replace Hakan Calhanoglu in the Regista role.
