Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi can rest easy during the international break after seeing the team that has emerged to begin the season.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter’s squad are now dispersing for the first international break of the season.

The timing of the September break is always a bit of a strange one for club sides in European football.

Just three matches into the season, the momentum comes to a screeching halt.

For many teams and coaches, that means two weeks in which to try and interpret the mixed early singles.

But for Inzaghi, the signals are not mixed. Rather, the coach has seen everything he could possibly want from his Nerazzurri team in their first three matches of the campaign.

Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi Can Rest Easy After Blistering Start To Season

Inter’s start to the season has suggested that they are right on track for where they want to be.

The Nerazzurri are, along with city rivals AC Milan, one of two teams in the Italian top flight yet to drop points.

And just as important as the results has been the manner of the performances that Inter have put in to obtain them.

Wins against Monza and Cagliari to begin the campaign saw Inter looking confident and in control. But yesterday’s victory over Fiorentina was something else entirely.

The Nerazzurri put in one of the most impressive performances that they’ve done under Inzaghi.

Facing a team who beat them last season at the San Siro, Inter were the dominant side. They are already looking like a team who have taken the summer to rebuild and rejuvenate.

Therefore, the Gazzetta suggests, Inzaghi can enjoy his international break.

The coach’s work over the summer is starting to bear fruit. And he can feel optimistic about what awaits he and Inter on the other side of the break.
