Retired Italian defender Lele Adani rates Inter Milan star Federico Dimarco as one of the strongest left-backs in world football.

The 25-year-old is a boyhood Nerazzurri supporter who’s been growing from strength to strength over the last two campaigns.

The wingback has established himself as a pillar in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 formation and a menacing force down the left flank for the opposition.

Therefore, Adani hails the Italian international as one of the best players in his position worldwide while praising the team’s displays in general.

“Inter are not only the strongest team in terms of self-esteem and depth, but they are also playing well now, in my opinion,” says the former Inter and Fiorentina defender during his appearance on Bobo TV via FcInterNews.

“I don’t know if this is a team that wins you over with beautiful football, but you can’t say they’re not playing well.

“How many left-backs in the world are stronger than Dimarco? In my opinion, very few.

“He certainly has much room to improve. But then again, not everyone can reach the levels of Paolo Maldini.”

Moreover, Adani showered club captain Lautaro Martinez with praise. The Argentine has been firing on all cylinders since the start of the season.

“When he arrived at the club, he initially acted as a sidekick. He has played with various other attackers.

“Now, he can do it all and in brilliant fashion. He is also a leader, just watch his movements.”
