Former Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar is enjoying a positive start to life at PSG. He also reveals that he’s finally feeling healthy again.

The 28-year-old spent seven campaigns with the Nerazzurri, cementing himself as a stalwart at the back.

Paris Saint-Germain had already tried to sign him in the summer of 2022 but to no avail. Inter rejected big-money offers, only to lose his services for free a year later.

The Slovakian joined the French champions as a free agent this summer and has immediately established himself as a starter in Luis Enrique’s formation.

Skriniar had missed a large part of the previous campaign due to injury problems. Therefore, he expressed his happiness for finally managing to overcome his physical issues.

“First and foremost, I’m glad to feel good,” said the defender in an interview with the Slovakian press via FcInterNews.

“The first two matches in Ligue 1 did not go as we would have liked, even if the coach praised our performances.

“But the last two encounters were fantastic. We scored goals and created many chances.

“I think we will continue on this positive path. We are gradually adapting. New friendships are brewing and we have a fantastic coach.”

“Personally, I want to play regularly and show the fans what I’m capable of.”

The centre-back has started for PSG in every match thus far this season. He has now joined the Slovakian national team for the international break.

The Slovakians will host Portugal on Friday and Lichtenstein next Monday in their next two Euro 2024 qualifiers.
