Luciano Spalletti will reportedly start Inter Milan stars Nicolo Barella, Federico Dimarco and Alessandro Bastoni on his Italy debut against North Macedonia.

The experienced tactician resigned from his post as Napoli manager after leading the club towards a historic Scudetto triumph last season.

The Tuscan manager has now replaced Roberto Mancini who has recently vacated his post.

Spalletti will make his Azzurri bow in an away fixture against North Macedonia in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The Italians will be seeking revenge against the same side that eliminated them from the 2022 World Cup playoffs.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Spalletti tested a 4-3-3 formation in Friday’s training session.

This provisional lineup includes three Nerazzurri stars in the shape of Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella and Federico Dimarco.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Gianluca Mancini should join the Inter duo at the back while Gianluigi Donnarumma starts in goal.

In addition to Barella, the middle of the park should include Roma star Bryan Cristante and Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali.

Finally, Lazio veteran Ciro Immobile should lead the frontline. Napoli star Matteo Politano and Lazio winger Mattia Zaccagni should flank him.

The latter replaces Juventus star Federico Chiesa who suffered a knock in training.

The Azzurri started their campaign with a 1-2 defeat at the hands of England before bouncing back with a routine 2-o win over Matla.
