Inter Milan ultras have followed Romelu Lukaku to Rome, placing an insulting banner at the heart of the Italian capital.

The fallout between the Belgian and the Nerazzurri was one of the most dramatic stories of the summer transfer market.

The 30-year-old made his return to the club last season on loan from Chelsea. The Italian giants were working on making his stay his stay permanent.

However, Inter later found out that Lukau was having secret talks with Juventus, possibly dating time to March.

Moreover, the big striker irked his former teammates by refusing the answer their calls.

Yet, the transfer to Turin never materialized. Instead, the bomber found himself a safe haven at AS Roma. He joined Jose Mourinho’s club just days before the end of the summer transfer session.

However, Inter Milan’s Ultras aren’t willing to let bygones be bygones just yet.

According to FcInterNews, a group of the Nerazzurri’s Curva Nord fans placed a banner in Rome aimed towards their former striker. It simply reads: “Villainous Lukaku”.

This incident proves that Beneamata supporters aren’t willing to forgive the player’s demeanor. His actions were deemed treacherous by many at the club.

Lukaku had first joined Inter back in 2019. He enjoyed two solid campaigns under the guidance of Antonio Conte.

In the 2020/21 season, he spearheaded the club’s charge towards the Scudetto title and won the Serie A MVP award for his exploits.

The Belgium international then made a mega-money switch to Chelsea. But after a few miserable months at Stamford Bridge, he famously pleaded for a return to Inter in a controversial interview.
