Inter Milan trio Alexis Sanchez, Francesco Acerbi, and Stefano Sensi should all be available for next weekend’s derby clash with AC Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are now just a week away from playing in the first of two Serie A matches against city rivals Milan.

Clashes with the Rossoneri are always among the biggest matches of Inter’s season. But this derby is arguably even more significant than usual.

Inter and Milan are the only two teams to have started the Serie A season with three wins from three.

Therefore, Saturday’s match will already have major potential Scudetto implications.

Both the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri will spend the next week preparing for next Saturday’s derby. Right now, both teams are without a number of key players who are on international duty.

As the week progresses the international players will make their way back and both Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and his Milan counterpart Stefano Pioli will start to have their full squads at their disposal in view of next weekend’s match.

Inter Trio Alexis, Acerbi & Sensi Should Be Fit For Milan Derby

According to the Corriere, the fitness news is good for Inter coach Inzaghi.

Firstly, there is forward Alexis Sanchez.

The fact that the Chilean was out of his national team’s first World Cup qualifier of the break against Uruguay may have raised one or two worries about his condition. Particularly after Sanchez had missed out on Inter’s matches against Cagliari and Fiorentina.

But according to the Corriere, the reason for the 34-year-old absence against Uruguay was just that his hemoglobin levels weren’t high enough.

This is because Sanchez has still been getting back to match-fitness.

But as the Chilean’s national team coach confirms, he should already be available against Colombia this coming week.

Meanwhile, the Corriere report, both midfielder Sensi and defender Acerbi will be back in full training this week.

The latter, in particular, could even vie for a starting spot against Milan with Stefan de Vrij. The Dutchman, however, remains the favourite to start.
