Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries is in the starting eleven for the Netherlands for their EURO 2024 qualifying clash with Ireland.

The 27-year-old will play at right-wingback for the Oranje, the same position that he does for the Nerazzurri.

Over the past few years, Dumfries has become a regular for the Dutch national team.

The wingback broke through at Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven, earning himself call-ups for the Netherlands.

Dumfries made his first appearance for his senior national side in 2018. He made his debut in a 3-0 win over Germany.

The 27-year-old has made 45 appearances for the Netherlands to date. This evening will make his 46th appearance.

The Oranje have some catching up to do in their bid to qualify for the 2024 European championships.

Ronald Koeman’s side have played just two matches so far in their qualifying campaign. They are on three points.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands’ opponent for this evening, Greece, have played three matches and amassed six points.

France lead the way in the qualifying group with twelve points from twelve so far.
