On the eve of the Derby della Madonnina, Tuttosport takes a closer look at the two owners of Inter Milan and AC Milan.

The Nerazzurri will “host” the Rossoneri at the San Siro Stadium this Saturday. This will be an interesting clash between the two Serie A leaders.

Moreover, Tuttosport (via FcInterNews) ran a comparison between the two owners, Steven Zhang (from Suning Group) and Gerry Cardinale (RedBird group).

Although Zhang may not attend this weekend’s showdown, he has been a constant presence in Milano, especially since 2021.

In addition to being a part of the owning group, Zhang also acts as Inter president. Therefore, he’s more involved in the operational work that occurs at his club compared to Cardinale.

The American owner of AC Milan doesn’t hold any role in the board of directors. He preferred to leave the daily operatory work in the hands of others. This partially explains why his trips to Milano have been scarce.

The Owners Of Inter Milan And AC Milan Reportedly Share A Cold Rapport

Nevertheless, the source claims that Cardinale’s arrival at AC Milan prompted the club to part paths with Inter regarding the new stadium project.

The two clubs were working on a shared project. However, each club is now pursuing its own plans in a different area. Milan are looking to build their venue in San Donato, whereas Inter will construct their stadium in Rozzano.

The report claims that the rapport between the two owning groups is a rather cold one at the moment. Nonetheless, the two clubs’ managements (AKA directors) share good relationships.
