Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has reportedly rejected a mega offer from Al-Hilal as he only has eyes for a contract renewal that further ties him to the Nerazzurri.

The 26-year-old is currently preparing to spearhead his club’s charge in the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan. The two crosstown rivals will collide on Saturday.

Luckily for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, the Argentine made his return from international duty and appears to be in good physical shape. He trained with the rest of his teammates on Thursday.

On another note, an emerging report reveals how the striker rejected a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League.

According to Il Corriere della Sera via FcInterNews, Lautaro refused to join Al-Hilal who were offering him wages worth 60 million euros per season for four years.

As the source reveals, the 2022 World Cup winner is instead eying a contract renewal with Inter Milan.

In addition to his great rapport with the club and its supporters, Martinez and his family also have a strong link with the city of Milano.

The captain already has a deal that runs until 2026. However, he would like to solidify his bond with the Nerazzurri by pushing the deadline further back.

The report also reveals that the release clause worth 111 million euros has now expired.

Nevertheless, the renewal file isn’t yet on the desk of Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta, explains the source.

Finally, the report claims that any suitor would have to put 150 million euros at the table. Otherwise, Inter won’t even consider the offer.
