Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan feels that with the urging of the Nerazzurri fans, the team can dream of winning the Serie A title.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after Inter won 5-1 in the derby against AC Milan, via FCInterNews, the 34-year-old reacted to the result and didn’t hide his ambitions to go after the Scudetto.

Inter not only kept their perfect start to the season going against Milan this evening

The Nerazzurri did so in emphatic style, putting five goals past their city rivals.

Even though Inter had won the past four derby matches going into this evening, a victory seemed anything but a foregone conclusion. The Rossoneri have also been in outstanding form at the start of this campaign.

But Inter looked far and away the more ruthless team.

Now, Inter have already collected twelve points out of a possible twelve.

They sit two points clear of Juventus in second spot, whilst Napoli are three behind them but with a game in hand against Genoa this evening.

Mkhitaryan: Inter Can Dream Of The Second Star This Season

With the form that Inter are in the midst of, they could credibly claim to be serious Serie A title contenders, if not favourites.

“Were very happy,” Mkhitaryan said after the match. “Especially me.”

Mkhitaryan scored Inter’s opener, as well as their third goal of the evening.

“The important thing is not so much that I score, but that we won.”

“We’ve started the season very well and we want to keep it up consistently,” Mkhitaryan continued. “We want to keep going.”

“With our fans we can do anything,” the 34-year-old stressed. “I want to thank them for the support they give us, let’s all see how far we can go together.”

Mkhitaryan also made clear that as far as the starting eleven goes, “We’re all pushing for the same objective.”

“I don’t care if I start or not,” he added.

“There are 25 of us and then the coach can choose which players are ready to give their all for the objective of the second star.”

“We’ve made a lot of changes in the transfer market,” Mkhitaryan noted. “But the players who’ve arrived know what it means to play for Inter.”

“Just look at the players who have joined and what they’ve already done,” the Armenian continued.

“We’re thinking one match at a time and we know what our goal is.”
