Inter Milan Vice-President Javier Zanetti is very happy with how positive the start to the season has been for striker Marcus Thuram.

The Nerazzurri executive spoke to PlanetWin365, giving his thoughts on the start to the Nerazzurri’s, and particularly Thuram’s season.

It would be an understatement to say that Inter enjoyed a positive start to the season.

The Nerazzurri have won each of their first four Serie A matches over the course of the campaign.

And one of Inter’s shining lights has been striker Thuram.

The Frenchman arrived on a free transfer from Borussia Monchnelgadbach.

And as Zanetti points out, there was a big adjustment that Thuram had to make in order to really fit in and make an impact. For many players moving into new leagues, teams, and environments, that is a process that takes time.

But not for Thuram.

The 26-year-old has already scored twice in an Inter shirt. He has also looked like a player who’s been at the club for far longer than a few months based on his performances and how smoothly he has fit in with the rest of his teammates.

Inter Vice-President Zanetti Happy With Start Marcus Thuram As Made To Season

Zanetti said that “I was very impressed by Thuram. He’s having a great start to the season.”

The Nerazzurri executive and former captain noted that “It wasn’t at all obvious that he would. He’s a player who’s used to an entirely different league.”

And Zanetti also looked ahead to Inter’s start to the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri reached the final of that competition last season. They begin their group stage campaign against Real Sociedad tomorrow.

“The Champions League is a competition that’s made up of details. You need to be in top form when you take to the pitch.”

He gave the view that “The four Italian teams have proven to be competitive.”

“I hope that they can all keep going forward in this journey,” Zanetti said of Serie A teams in Europe.
