Inter Milan wingback Juan Cuadrado will miss out on tomorrow’s Champions League opener against Real Sociedad through injury.

FCInterNews report that the 35-year-old will not travel with the rest of the squad to San Sebastian for tomorrow evening’s match, as he is dealing with some minor inflammation in tendons in his legs.

During the international break, Cuadrado picked up a problem of minor tendinitis.

The Colombian started his national team’s 1-0 win over Venezuela in their first World Cup qualifier of the break. However, he had to come off at halftime during that match.

Tests showed that there was no serious injury for Cuadrado. However, the Inter wingback did not play in the subsequent match against Chile.

When Cuadrado returned from international duty, he was able to go straight back into training with Inter.

The 35-year-old was part of the Nerazzurru’s squad for Saturday evening’s 5-1 win over AC Milan.

However, Cuadrado did not play in that match, as he remained on the bench.

Inter Wingback Juan Cuadrado To Miss Real Sociedad Clash In Champions League

Cuadrado has been training with his teammates in preparation for tomorrow evening’s match.

However, the former Juventus, Fiorentina, and Chelsea veteran will not play any part tomorrow. He is not part of the squad that is travelling to Spain.

Rather, Cuadrado is staying behind to work at Inter’s training centre.

The injury affecting the wingback is related to the tendinitis that he had suffered during the international break.

As with then, the problem is not overly serious. It should not keep Cuadrado out for long.

However, the decision is that the 35-year-old is not in the right condition to play. Therefore, there would be little point in his being in the squad for tomorrow’s match.

Instead, Cuadrado will stay behind and work to expedite his recovery.
