Italian journalist Paolo Condo believes Inter Milan are the favourites for the Serie A title.

Writing for the Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, the journalist also suggests that the Nerazzurri have reason to be ambitious about another run deep into the Champions League.

Inter are still only four matches into their season.

However, the Nerazzurri have sent a clear message about the kind of campaign that they’re capable of having.

Simone Inzaghi’s team have taken maximum points in Serie A. They are the only team to have done so.

Moreover, there is more to it than just the results that Inter have gotten.

The Nerazzurri have scored a total of thirteen goals so far this season. And they have conceded just one.

And Inter faced their biggest challenge of the season – the Milan derby – on Saturday. They achieved a statement win, putting five past their city rivals AC Milan to keep their perfect start alive.

It’s still early. But Italian journalist Condo believes that Inter will be capable of having a special season.

Condo: Inter Can Have A Great Season In Serie A & Champions League

Cond writes that “Five years have passed since the last time an Italian team started the Champions League thinking they could win it.”

“That was Juve when they first signed Cristiano Ronaldo.”

“On Wednesday we’ll see whether [Inter] can once again go all the way,” Condo can go all the way. “It’s useless to hide that that is their ambition.”

“What can already be said in mid-September is that an Inter who look like this can already be considered favourites for the Scudetto,” the journalist argues.

“On Saturday, Inter won the fifth consecutive derby – a massive amount – with few changes in the script. They blew them away earlier, and then saw out the match with shrewd management.”

“This time around they added a final flourish with fresh, and devastating flouish,” Condo notes.

“Carlos Augusto and Davide Frattesi helped the team nip the Milan comeback in the bud, by adding even more goals.”

“Inter look stacked, that’s the first thing we know this season,” Condo writes.

“And we haven’t seen players like Pavard, Klaassen, and Sanchez yet.”
