Defender Benjamin Pavard and midfielder Kristjan Asllani will be in Inter Milan’s starting eleven against Real Sociedad this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who anticipate the likely lineup decisions of Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi for the Champions League group stage opener.

Inter coach Inzaghi is firming up his choices regarding which players to start against La Real this evening.

The coach will start rotating his squad more than has been the case so far this season. After going with virtually the same starting eleven in each of Inter’s first four matches of the season, the coach will have to make some changes from match to match from now on.

The introduction of Champions League fixtures means that Inter will be playing two matches per week, essentially from here on out.

Pavard & Asllani To Be In Inter Starting XI To Face Real Sociedad

The one area where Inzaghi has changed his starting eleven at all across the first four matches has been in defense. Francesco Acerbi replaced Stefan de Vrij at the heart of the back three against AC Milan.

And according to the Gazzetta, Inzaghi will make further changes against La Real this evening.

The big story will be the inclusion of Benjamin Pavard. The former Bayern Munich defender has yet to appear in an Inter shirt after completing his move late last month.

According to the Gazzetta, the 27-year-old will start this evening, replacing Matteo Darmian.

De Vrij will be back into the starting eleven. And on the left side of defense, either Acerbi or Alessandro Bastoni could start.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, in midfielder Kristjan Asllani will start.

The Albanian has made a couple of cameo appearances from the bench so far this season.

But Inzaghi has indicated that he’s ready to trust Asllani, with Hakan Calhanoglu out with an injury.
