Young match official Matteo Marcenaro will be in charge of the Serie A clash between Empoli and Inter Milan this weekend.
This will be an interesting encounter at the Carlo Castellani Stadium, pitting the league leaders against the side that resides at the very bottom of the table.
After four rounds, the Nerazzurri enjoy a perfect record. They won all of their league fixtures so far, including last weekend’s Derby della Madonnina. They hammered their crosstown rivals AC Milan in a 5-1 demolition job.
On the contrary, Empoli are yet to register their first point of the season. They also failed to score a single goal thus far. Earlier this week, they sacked Paolo Zanetti and replaced him with the returning Aurelio Andreazzoli.
According to FcInterNews, Marcenaro has been appointed as the match official for Sunday’s early kickoff. This will be the 30-year-old’s third match in charge in the current campaign.

He took out the yellow card on 82 occasions in Italy’s top flight. He also sent off five players and awarded five penalty kicks.
