Inter Milan wingback Juan Cuadrado is displaying signs of improvement in the club’s latest training session ahead of the Empoli trip.
The Colombian sustained a knock recently which kept him out of Wednesday’s Champions League encounter against Real Sociedad.
The 35-year-old is suffering from a tendon inflammation. He has been working separately in recent days.
But according to Sky Sport via TuttoMercatoWeb, Cuadrado’s condition has been improving.
Therefore, the former Juventus star could join the club’s Tuscan trip. The Nerazzurri will take on Empoli at the Carlo Castellani Stadium on Sunday’s early Serie A kickoff.
Nevertheless, the source believes that Simone Inzaghi will only include the veteran in his matchday squad if he manages to fully recover.
Otherwise, the coach won’t risk him. Instead, he’ll keep him at home, allowing him to regain his optimal condition ahead of Wednesday’s encounter against Sassuolo.
Hence, the club will assess Cuadrado’s condition on Saturday morning before making a final decision on the matter.
Inter Milan To Assess The Condition Of Juan Cuadrado Tomorrow Ahead Of The Serie A Clash Vs Empoli
The Colombian international signed for the Nerazzurri last summer after seeing out his contract with arch-rivals Juventus.
The wingback has thus far made three appearances for the Inter, all coming off the bench. He provided an assist for Lautaro Martinez in the 4-0 routing of Fiorentina a couple of weeks ago.
On the other hand, Hakan Calhanoglu has reportedly recovered from the knock he sustained earlier this week. The Turkish star trained with his teammates today and could earn a starting berth in the weekend.
