Legendary former Bayern Munich and Juventus striker Luca Toni is a fan of how Inter Milan have started the season

Speaking to Italian news outlet Nerazzurri Siamo Noi, the former Italian international weighed in on the Serie A title race.

So far this season, Inter are the team who have been setting the pace in the Italian top flight.

The Nerazzurri’s city rivals AC Milan had begun the season perfectly as well. But Inter thrashed the Rossoneri in the derby last weekend.

Meanwhile, both of Napoli and Juventus have already dropped five points, after the Bianconeri fell to a 4-2 defeat away to Sassuolo earlier this evening.

It is admittedly still early on in the campaign. But the fact that Inter have yet to drop a single point would seem to mark them out as the team to beat.

The Nerazzurri have scored thirteen goals so far in the league. And they have conceded just one, against Milan in the derby last weekend.

In the view of former striker Toni, Inter are indeed the team who have what it takes to go on and win the title.

Luca Toni Praises Inter Milan For Start To Season

“Inter have started the season very strong,” former striker Toni said.

“I saw them live two or three times and I’m a fan of them,” he continued.

The former Bayern man said that “They’ve gained confidence. They play good football and they have a great squad because they have a lot of players with quality.”

“It will be a great balanced title race,” he predicted.

As far as the title race in Serie A, Toni said that “Inter are strong. Napoli are still strong.”

“Juventus have no European football,” the former striker observed.

“Even Milan are still doing well despite the loss in the derby,” he noted. “So I don’t know.”
