Wingback Juan Cuadrado is aiming to return from injury for Inter Milan in Wednesday evening’s Serie A match against Sassuolo.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper also anticipate that Stefano Sensi won’t be back until at least the end of the month.

Wingback Cuadrado missed Inter’s Champions League group stage opener away to Real Sociedadwith tendinitis.

This had also been a problem that the Colombian was dealing with during the international break.

So far, Cuadrado has not feature for Inter since the return from the break.

And the 35-year-old former Juventus, Chelsea, and Fiorentina veteran is not part of the squad for this evening’s match away to Empoli either.

Cuadrado stayed behind to work on his recovery in training whilst the rest of the squad travelled to Tuscany.

According to the Corriere, however, there is a clear target in mind for the Colombian to be available again.

Juan Cuadardo Targeting Inter Vs Sassuolo Clash

Cuadrado’s problem is not too serious. His absence this evening is more of a precaution so that the 35-year-old can come back in ideal condition.

And the Corriere report that the Colombian could be on track to come back against Sassuolo.

Inter will already be in action in Serie A again during the week. They host the Neroverdi at the San Siro.

And Cuadrado could already be part of the squad again for that match.

Meanwhile, for midfielder Sensi it is a different story.

The 28-year-old continues to recover from a thigh strain.

This problem is keeping him out of this afternoon’s match against Empoli like Cuadrado. And according to the Corriere, there is little chance of seeing Sensi against his former team Sassuolo either.

Even the away trip to face Salernitana is also a major doubt for Sensi.

Rather, the Italian international could be back in the squad for matches at the start of October.
