Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer received a below-average rating for his role in the defeat at the hands of Sassuolo.

The Nerazzurri conceded their first defeat of the season in all competitions when they hosted the Neroverdi at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Wednesday.

Simone Inzaghi’s men enjoyed a positive first-half performance. They took the lead through Denzel Dumfries just before halftime.

But it all collapsed after the break, with Domenico Berardi leading the Emilians towards a stunning comeback. He provided the assist for the equalizer before scoring an astonishing winner.

However, Sommer could have done more to prevent Nedim Bajrami’s equalizer. The former Empoli man beat the Swiss veteran at his near post.

Therefore, Tuttosport (via FcInterNews) identified the 34-year-old as the worst performer in the match, giving him a rating of 4.5/10.

Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella didn’t fare much better. They both received a grade of 5/10. The same goes for Alexis Sanchez who failed to make an impact after coming off the bench.

The Nerazzurri remain on top of the Serie A table. However, AC Milan are now on par with 15 points, while Juventus sit third, only a couple of points behind.
