Inter Milan will reportedly have more players away on international duty this month than any other Serie A club.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, 14 or 15 Nerazzurri stars will join their national teams next week.
The Beneamata currently boasts the largest block in the Italian national team. Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi and Federico Dimarco will all join Luciano Spalletti’s Azzurri.
Davide Frattesi could be the sixth Inter star in the Italy squad if he manages to overcome his injury. The 24-year-old is currently hoping to make his return against Bologna tomorrow.
In addition to the Italian host, another nine Inter players will be on international duty this month.
Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij will join up with their Dutch teammates. Marcus Thuram and Benjamin Pavard will be part of Didier Deschamps’ France squad.
Moreover, Alexis Sanchez, Kristjan Asllani, Yann Sommer, Hakan Calhanoglu and club captain Lautaro Martinez will all join their respective national teams.
The good news for Inter is that the Colombian national team decided to spare Juan Cuadrado. The veteran wingback sustained an injury during the previous international break and is now working his way towards full fitness.

Furthermore, Davy Klaassen didn’t receive a call-up from the Netherlands, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan retired from international duty.
As the source explains, Simone Inzaghi will have to rotate the ranks even against Bologna, as a tough fixture list awaits him following the international break.
This includes encounters against Torino, RB Salzburg in the Champions League, AS Roma and Atalanta.
