Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani feels that Bologna are in impressive form, but that the Nerazzurri still want three points this afternoon.

The 21-year-old spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, ahead of this afternoon’s Serie A clash at the San Siro.

Inter play their final match before the October international break this afternoon.

The Nerazzurri host Bologna. They will not be underestimating the Emilian team.

Bologna have not lost a match in Serie A since their opening-day defeat at the hands of AC Milan.

During that time, the Rossoblu have procured some statement results – draws against Juventus and Napoli stand out.

Moreover, Thiago Motta has made Bologna a tough nut to crack defensively. The Rossoblu have conceded just four goals in Serie A all season.

That means that there is only one team in all of Europe’s top five leagues with a stronger defensive record so far this season – Inter.

Therefore, this match will be a battle for Inter. The Nerazzurri will have to be at their best physically, technically, mentally, and tactically.

But Inter have reasons of their own to be confident.

Apart from a slip-up against Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri have won all their matches in the league.

And Inter are also coming into this match off the back of an impressive Champions League victory over Benfica.

Inter Midfielder Kristjan Asllani – Not Underestimating In-Form Bologna, But Want Three Points

“We’ve watched quite a bit of footage of Bologna,” Asllani said.

“We know that they’re coming off the back of some great results. They haven’t conceded a goal in several matches.”

“But we want the three points,” the Albanian former Empoli midfielder continued. “We’ve worked hard in training and we’re ready.”

Asllani then said that “We also know that they play good football. But so do we, and we’ll give our best in this match because it’ll be difficult.”

“Matches like this are fundamentally important,” the Albanian said.

“Especially because it’s in front of the eyes of our fans.”

“And then we’re headed off for our national teams. So today we’re playing for the three points.”
