Inter Milan will play with the same starting lineup against Bologna this afternoon as they did against Benfica in the Champions League.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter have just one more match to go before they head into the October international break.

The Nerazzurri host Bologna at the San Siro.

Over the past couple seasons, Inter’s record against Bologna in Serie A has been quite Jekyll-and-Hyde. Both matches at the San Siro saw the Nerazzurri rout the Rossoblu by 6-1 scorelines, whilst both matches at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara saw the Emilean team emerge victorious.

According to the Gazzetta, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has little intention of rotating his team this afternoon.

The coach’s only priority is ensuring the team is strong enough to take three points. Resting key players is not in Inzaghi’s mind.

The coach does not want to lose the momentum that the Nerazzurri have built up.

Inter have won every match in the league so far except for a stumble against Sassuolo in their last home match. Inzaghi hopes that the team can make it one more win as they aim to leave AC Milan behind them.

Same Inter Starting XI Vs Bologna As Vs Benfica – Marcus Thuram To Start

According to the Gazzetta, striker Marcus Thuram will start this afternoon.

There may have been one or two injury fears about the Frenchman.

Thuram had to come off against Benfica during the week, due to a calf problem.

But according to the Gazzetta, Thuram is fit enough to start. Inzaghi will start the 26-year-old alongside Lautaro Martinez against Bologna.

And it will be the familiar trio of Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The back three will be Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni.

And in wide areas, Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco will start.
