Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will feel that yesterday’s match against Bologna was a movie that he’s seen before.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that this is far from the first time that the Nerazzurri have dropped points in highly avoidable circumstances under the ex-Lazio coach.

Inter looked to be cruising with fifteen minutes gone at the San Siro yesterday afternoon.

Goals from Francesco Acerbi and Lautaro Martinez in the space of just a couple minutes gave the Nerazzurri an imposing 2-0 lead.

Therefore, it will be all the more frustrating that Inter were not able to see out the job.

And even worse is the fact that things had gone similarly the last time the Nerazzurri played at the San Siro in Serie A.

Inter’s loss to Sassuolo had already set a precedent for Emilian teams travelling to face Inter. And Inzaghi will not be happy with the fact that the team has only reinforced it.

Inzaghi Left Furious By Another Avoidable Bad Result

The Inter coach didn’t make any effort to hide his feelings after the match.

Inzaghi spoke of two “bloody points” that the team had dropped.

Obviously no coach wants to see their team drop points in any circumstances. But for the Nerazzurri boss, the sense is one of particularly ruing how easy it should have been to prevent this slip-up.

Last season there had been similar situations in matches against teams like Spezia and particularly Monza.

And this time around, Sassuolo and Bologna have already managed to get results in this fashion.

A lack of a cutting edge from Inter has been combined with a clinical and determined opposition.

It’s almost formula or script for Inter in certain matches.

And it won’t be one that Inzaghi is ever happy to see play out.
