Inter Milan striker Alexis Sanchez has joined his teammates in training, while Nicolo Barella has reportedly won the duel for a starting berth against Torino.

According to Sky Sport via FcInter1908, the Chilean has resumed training with the group following his return from international duty.

While fellow Argentine international Lautaro Martinez and Carlos Augusto were present in training yesterday, Sanchez had an even longer flight on his way back to Milano.

Therefore, the 34-year-old skipped Thursday’s session. Nevertheless, the former Arsenal and Barcelona star has now returned to group training. He should be a part of the matchday squad against Torino.

The Nerazzurri will take on Ivan Juric’s side at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Saturday evening.

However, the Chilean won’t be in the starting line-up. The source expects Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to rely on the services of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

The Nerazzurri captain and the French international have been the manager’s preferred attacking duo since the start of the season.

On another note, the source believes that Barella has won the midfield duel over Davide Frattesi.

As we reported earlier today, the two Italian midfielders have been competing for a starting berth alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu.

While some suggested that Barella returned tired from international duty, Sky tips the 26-year-old to start ahead of his compatriot.

Elsewhere, the report expects Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni to start at the back, with Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco on the flanks.

Nevertheless, the source leaves the door open for one or two surprises in tomorrow’s starting line-up.
