Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has reportedly decided to hand Alessandro Bastoni and Denzel Dumfries some rest against Torino.

The Nerazzurri travel to Turin for a meeting against the Granata in the 9th matchday of Serie A.

The Beneamata will be looking to bounce back with victory after squandering two points in their most recent fixture. The club wasted a two-goal lead at home against Bologna.

However, Simone Inzaghi will have to carefully manage the energy levels of his men who have just returned from international duty. Moreover, a tough schedule awaits Inter in the coming weeks, featuring important clashes between Serie A and the Champions League.

So according to Sky Sport via FcInter1908, the manager will rest two of his regular starters, namely Bastoni and Dumfries.

While earlier reports tipped the two men to start, emerging sources now claim Matteo Darmian will replace the Dutchman on the right flank.

As for the defense, Stefan de Vrij will earn a starting spot instead of Bastoni. Thus, the Netherlands international will operate at the heart of the backline, with Benjamin Pavard to his right and Francesco Acerbi to his left.

In the middle of the park, Hakan Calhanoglu will operate as the deep-lying playmaker. Henrikh Mkhitaryan will also maintain his spot while Nicolo Barella is the favorite to start ahead of Davide Frattesi.

Finally, club captain Lautaro Martinez will spearhead the club’s charge alongside French international striker Marcus Thuram.
