Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi feels that the Nerazzurri need to keep their full concentration on Serie A.
Speaking to InterTV after the Nerazzurri’s victory over Torino, via FCInterNews, the 24-year-old gave his reaction to three important points as the team returned from the international break in the right way.
Inter didn’t have things easy away to Torino this evening.
In the first half, it was a real battle. Particularly towards the end of that half, the Granata started to gain momentum, and the Nerazzurri couldn’t even necessarily have complained if they’d gone in a goal down at the interval.
But then in the second half, Inter started to find their rhythm more and more.
It was Marcus Thuram who opened the scoring for the Nerazzurri.
The Frenchman’s goal came not long after the introduction of Frattesi in midfield, as well as Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Augusto on the flanks, from the bench.
Then, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez added another. The Argentine headed home from a corner.
A Hakan Calhanoglu penalty sealed the victory for the Nerazzurri. Now, they can watch tomorrow’s match against AC Milan and Juventus and relative peace.
Davide Frattesi: Inter Need Both Eyes On Serie A
Frattesi noted that “In matches like this where the opponent plays man-to-man, it’s very important to create space.”
“There needs to be as much movement as possible all around the pitch. In the end, that paid off for us.”
The midfielder gave the view that “We need to play a few more games because the more you play the better you get.”
“I was out of action before the international team, break,”he noted. “And now I’ve already played three games so we’re in a good place.”
Asked if he feels like he’s a big part of this Inter group, Frattesi replied “Definitely, yes.”
“We have a really big goal, so it’s impossible not to feel like an important part of the group.”
“Now we have to keep working towards the objective that we’ve set. We really want to win.”
Frattesi said that this evening’s match was “A really important match to win.”
“We have to also spread ourselves over the Champions League, where we have a difficult, competitive group.”
“But at the same time, we have to keep both eyes, not just one, on Serie A,” he noted. “So winning today was vital.”
