Torino coach Ivan Juric feels it’s unfortunate that his team put in sixty minutes of good performance against Inter Milan without scoring.

The coach spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, giving his immediate reaction to the Serie A clash. He also updated on the fitness of defender Perr Schuurs.

Inter won yesterday evening’s match by a seemingly emphatic 3-0 scoreline.

However, that didn’t quite tell the entire story.

The Nerazzurri’s quality proved the difference in the end. In the second half, the goals started to go in as Inter seemingly took control of proceedings.

But prior to that, it certainly hadn’t been easy for Inter.

On the contrary, Torino were also putting their stamp on the match, particularly prior to halftime.

Inter could not have had too many complaints if they had gone in at the break a goal down. Torino created a few decent chances, getting shots on target and forcing saves out of Nerazzurri goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

But in the end, the Granata were not able to turn any of their positive play into a goal.

And Inter punished them in the end.

Torino Coach Ivan Juric Rues 60 Good Minutes Vs Inter Milan Without A Goal

Granata coach Juric noted that “We created a lot.”

“We could have created the world, but we weren’t precise enough in the final thirty metres. We lacked some quality.”

Of trying to lure Inter into pressing, the Torino coach said that “We wanted to set up like that.”

“And for long stretches it worked,” he continued. “Because Calhanoglu came out on Linetty, and Vlasic was further inside.”

“We attacked that space well many times,” the coach noted.

“But we could have done better with our final passes,” he added.

“There’s regret about that.”
