Former Nerazzurri defender Daniele Adani feels that the current Inter Milan team have no real weak points in Serie A.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, via FCInterNews, Adani gave his thoughts on the Nerazzurri’s title charge.
Inter currently seem to find themselves locked in a three-way battle for the Serie A title.
Whilst it would not be a good idea to completely rule out reigning champions Napoli, and teams like Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Roma are in the background, there is currently a sense of hierarchy at the top of the table in the Italian top flight.
Right now, Inter sit atop the table.
But it is only the slenderest of possible advantages for the Nerazzurri.
Inter are one point of city rivals AC Milan after the Rossoneri fell to defeat against Juventus yesterday. And that victory allowed the Bianconeri to reach within just two points of the Nerazzurri.
Therefore, whilst Inter are currently top, there is little to split the teams most credibly vying for the title. At least not in terms of the table.
But in the view of Adani, on the pitch Inter are the team who have a bit more than any of their rivals.
Adani: Inter Have No Weak Points In Serie A
Among the Nerazzurri’s strengths have been a strong defense, consistent and prolific strikers, and a squad whose depth has allowed for a fair bit of rotation and the potential to impact matches from the bench.
And former Inter defender Adani feels that this is indeed a strong team.
“I don’t see any weak in them in terms of Serie A,” he argued.
“If they can maintain the right mentality, I think they’ll just have too much compared to the other teams,” he continued.
He noted that “Inzaghi can rotate the squad a lot. That’s fundamental in football.”
“Now you can make five substitutions in each match,” Adani observed. “Practically 50% of the outfield players can be changed.”
“And Inter have ten starting-quality players on the bench. So they can change the game in the last thirty minutes and win.”
