Legendary Inter Milan defender Giuseppe Bergomi feels his beloved club displays a superior brand of football compared to Juventus.
Both clubs emerged victorious in the previous weekend. The Bianconeri beat AC Milan at the San Siro Stadium. This allowed the Nerazzurri to reclaim their top spot in the Serie A table.
At the moment, only two points separate Simone Inzaghi’s men from the Turin-based giants who lie in third position.
Nevertheless, Bergomi insists that Juventus remain behind Inter, Milan and Napoli in terms of quality.
However, the 59-year-old believes that what the Bianconeri lack in terms of style, they can make up for it with their defensive solidity and ability to snatch the points.
“In terms of play, Inter – like Milan and Napoli – are still ahead of Juve,” says Bergomi in his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInter1908.
“But be careful, the Bianconeri have a different mental toughness. They don’t concede goals, they have great physicality and know how to exploit free kicks.
“When Allegri gets angry like that, it’s because he knows he has something important on his hands.
“Then, for me, they have four great strikers with different characteristics and all compatible with each other. This, in the 3-5-2, makes the difference.”

On another note, the iconic Inter defender remains unsure about Inzaghi’s attacking options, mainly Alexis Sanchez and Marko Arnautovic.
“Inzaghi needs to have the four attackers at his disposal. Lautaro and Thuram are extraordinary, let’s see what Sanchez and Arnautovic will be able to offer.
“They will have to make themselves useful to ensure the right rotations and avoid exhaustion towards the end of the season.”
