Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez argues that any player in the world would love to play in Serie A, amidst links to Inter Milan.

The 22-year-old is a Mexican international who has been plying his trade with the Dutch club since 2022.

The young forward has been firing on all cylinders since the start of the campaign. He has thus far scored a whopping 13 goals in nine Eredivisie appearances, in addition to three assists.

Moreover, Gimenez scored a Champions League brace in the 3-1 victory over Lazio earlier this week.

In recent weeks, the Mexican emerged as a transfer target for the Nerazzurri. News reports linked the Italian giants with a move for the Feyenoord star.

In a new interview, Gimenez admits his desire to play in Italian football one day.

The striker also revealed that he holds an Italian passport which would also facilitate his arrival in the Peninsula.

“Serie A is a very competitive league, anyone would like to play in Italy,” admitted the Mexico star in his chat with Mediaset via FcInterNews,

“Among other things, I have an Italian passport thanks to my father’s origins.”
